THE LOOK
INTRO
This was my first ever "official" photo shoot and I must say I was both very nervous and excited. Coming back from Korea for the first time, I was inspired by the fashion scene and figured it'd be cool to try out modeling. It's my first time modeling so excuse any awkward posing and/or facial expressions. I still have a lot of room to learn and grow! Yay for trying new things!
THE DRESS
Perfect for a day or night out, the pattern of this black and white number is a good mix between youthful (flowers) and elegant (lace). I would say it is a timeless and versatile piece in my wardrobe that I wear when I want to dress up without feeling too fancy. I'm pretty sure many people can relate.
The rounded V neck line and the slightly-above-the-knee A-line skirt gives this dress a flirty feel and although you can't see it with these pictures, the dress also has a cool cutout in the back that keeps this dress interesting. I also dig that it's sleeveless. If I had to describe this dress in two words it'd be: classy and form-flattering.
SHOES
To give myself a little height boost and up the edgy factor, I paired this dress with a pair of platform heels that are super light and comfortable. These shoes were about $10 USD (when converted from Korean won), so it was definitely a score~
ACCESSORIES
As for accessories, there are 2 different styles I could have went with. If I wanted to channel "cool," I could rock the aviator sunglasses. Nothing says badass like a pair of sunglasses. Also a great accessory if you need a confident boost. For a more soft look, I could go with a floppy hat, which I don't usually wear, but they are a fun piece to try out especially when it's summer and you have a cute dress that goes with it.
As for the purse, I kept it simple with a black purse that had chains as part of the strap that matched the buckles of my platform heels. I didn't pair this outfit with any other accessory since I felt that I had pretty big/chunky components in this outfit that would make the addition of other accessories be too much. Less is definitely more.
