THE LOOK

INTRO

I am super happy to share this amazing collaboration with my talented friend Ria Kim. I feel so blessed to encounter artists from all around the world (Korea this time) and have the opportunity to work with them. I thank her not only for her talented photography skills but also for her guidance when it came to posing. I did not know what to do with my body nor how to interact with nature. There's one particular experimental photo we did (the one with me in the woods looking like a deer in headlights) that seems very Taylor Swift album-esque. Let me know if you see it too.

THE OUTFIT

The feel of today's look is elegant and sweet. Now that I look at my outfit again, it kind of looks like a casual wedding dress. I've always wanted a sheer top and never saw one that I really liked until I saw this one. The line details on this top keeps it interesting and can you believe it was only ~$5 USD? What a steal! I also really like that the neckline isn't just a straight line. It's these little details that make the top unique.

When I saw the white flowy floral top in the same store, I knew I also had to get it because it goes perfectly with this top.

As for the skirt, I bought it 3 years ago in Korea when I fell in love with it at first sight. The A-line silhouette and the sheer strip at the bottom of the skirt made it look so fashion forward. Sure enough when I came back to the US and was shopping at a mall a few months later, this skirt was advertised as the must-have new fashion item albeit way more expensive than what I paid.

SHOES

For this photoshoot, I borrowed my sister's cute two-toned tan wedges to add a bit of "color" that was neutral enough to not distract from the rest of the look.

ACCESSORIES

I ended up wearing silver dangly earrings and I unintentionally rocked my black hair ties and jade bracelet because I'm always wearing these on my wrist. Whoops.

As someone who sometimes doesn't  know what to do when it comes to facial expressions, I find that a genuine laugh because of a funny joke or at your own awkwardness produces quality expressions.
